Cannock CaniX event (5km and 2.5km)

With thanks to the Forestry Commission, we are pleased to be running a CaniX at Cannock Forest, the smallest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on mainland Britain, managed by the FC since the 1920s. The course will wind through the most picturesque section of the Forest - the Fairoak Valley

There is a visitor centre, toilets and cafe at the venue

Directions: NB The start/finish and event is being run from the Staffs CC Cannock Chase Visitor Centre (NOT the Forestry Commission Birches Valley Visitor Center).

1. From M6 North, exit J13 and follow signs for Penkridge A449. Go to 2.

1a. From M6 South, exit J12 and follow signs for Penkridge A5 and A449.

2. On entering Penkridge take the B5012 towards Brindley Heath.
3. Just after crossing the M6, take first left.
4. Head towards Rugeley.
5. Cannock Chase Visitor Centre is signposted off Penkridge Bank Road.

NB. If you reach Rugeley or Birches Valley Visitor Centre – you’ve gone too far!
We are running the event from the Cannock Chase Visitor Centre (Staffordshire CC)
NOT the Birches Valley Visitor Centre (Forestrey Commission).

Start/finish area is behind the visitor centre on Marquis Drive. It is a 5min walk from the parking to the start line. There will be vehicle movement on Marquis Drive up to the start line, please be cautious.
