CaniX: Keep Fit with Fido
CaniX UK is spearheading a keep fit campaign to benefit both canines and humans – all levels are catered for. Launched at Crufts 2009 called CaniX: Keep Fit with Fido. 25,000 leaflets have been inserted into the Crufts Show Guide, with a further 35,000 for distribution over the coming year DOWNLOAD LEAFLET.
In conjunction with Natural England’s green exercise initiative in Swindon, CaniX UK is setting up a pilot CaniX scheme at grass roots level. As well as several permanent courses across the borough, regular training sessions will be organised to make CaniX easily accessible to all. Following appraisal more schemes will be set-up across the country.

CaniX UK is planning to host the 15th European CaniX Championships in the UK in 2012 to coincide with the London Olympics. We are currently looking for a suitable venue and would welcome suggestions (SUGGEST A VENUE). Local authorities in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland interested in bringing the Championships to their area should contact CaniX UK. CaniX UK is the official body for cani-cross in the UK and the UK representative of the European Cani-Cross Federation (ECF) affiliated to 10 countries. Every October CaniX UK take a team to the European Championships.
For the past five years CaniX UK have been running events throughout the the UK, going from strength to strength. From the Scottish borders to Cornwall, Kent to Wales, events are held in the winter (Sep to May). CaniX UK organised the first UK Championships in 2007 which have been held at Cheltenham Racecourse each year since then.
