Lydiard Park is a beautiful 260 acre, 18th Century parkland on the western edge of Swindon. Originally a Medieval deer park. All the grounds have been made available to CaniX making for a spectacular run around the stunningly beautiful lake that was reinstated at the bottom of the lawns, past the ancestral home of the former Viscounts Bolingbroke, over bridges and through the towering Cedars of Lebanon, grass avenues and sweeping lawns. Surfaced paths and trails through the woodland areas will offer glimpses of the many birds and animals, from green woodpeckers to Roe deer.

A new children's play area has just opened providing great fun for children of all ages located close to the visitor centre.  New equipment includes the Triaction Special - a huge climbing frame with masses of slides and poles to go down and a variety of equipment to climb and swing from and the Giant Octonet with its intricate maze of rope ladders to climb up.

The Lydiard Park cafe at the Visitor Centre, by the main car park will be open offering a friendly service in comfortable surroundings, serving hot and cold drinks, ice creams, snacks and light lunches.

Look forward to seeing you and your pooch.
