Closing date: Monday, 28 February (*)
Venue: DFS Crufts, NEC, Birmingham

ENTRY FORMS: Closing date: Monday, 28 February (*)
- enter/pay online (via credit card)

(*) NB Entries may close earlier if capacity is reached. Early entries will take precedence.

CaniX is back at DFS Crufts for the forth year running in it's regular early afternoon time slot on Friday.

The event will be a stand alone event with the spectacular race start in the Main Arena. There will be a prizegiving ceremony later the same afternoon which will again be held in the Main Arena. All breeds (pedigree and cross) will feature and the age range of the human pairing will be from 7 (Cubs Class) to the over 50s (Veterans Class).

The course is 2km. The start will be directly in front of the VIP seating in the Main Arena around midday. Runners will start individually at timed intervals and run a circuit of the Arena before exiting the hall to complete a circuit of the lake outside. The finish will be on the beach by the lake.

Prizegiving Later in the afternoon there will be a parade for all runners and dogs in the Main Arena with a prizegiving for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class. Non-attendance will result in award being presented to the next highest placed competitor.

Tickets All competitors will be issued with one dog/handler pass and a parking pass (worth £8) for reserved parking close to the Arena/start and finish line. These tickets give access to all exhibition halls for both you and your competing dog (NB only dogs competing in the CaniX event have these privilages – no other dogs have this opportunity at Crufts). Additional tickets for volunteers who are able to help as ring party will be issued (FREE OF CHARGE) – this requires 5 mins of your time to carry and erect the start shoot in the Main Arena just before the race and break-down at the finish and ensures you have ring side seats to watch the race itself. If you have more than one volunteer in your party, you may request additional tickets and these will be issued on a first come basis (FREE OF CHARGE).

Any additional tickets may be purchased via the box office - 0844 444 9944 - www.crufts.org.uk/ticket-office - adults £14 , children (9-15yrs) £10 plus booking/transaction fee, parking £8 (on the day – in general visitor parking). Ticket price on the day: adults £17, children £13. Children aged 8 and under will be admitted free of charge.

Requirements
All runners will be required to:
- hold current CaniX UK membership (or membership of a national club affiliated to the ECF)
- have run in at least one CaniX UK event (or affiliated club event) prior to Crufts.
- wear the yellow CaniX UK T-shirt or vest during the race and prizegiving.
- run using waist belt, bungee line and dog harness – unless deemed unsafe for children.
- attend the prizegiving (non-attendance will result in award being presented to the next highest placed competitor).

We have a stipulated time slot in the main Arena so numbers will be limited. Runners will be chosen by variation of dog breed / cross / size and age groups of runners to show the broad spectrum of CaniX. There will be no reserves.

Priority will be given to those who:
- can offer a volunteer as ring party (either their hepler or third person who will receive a free ticket).
- early entries will take precedence.

Entry, unsuccessful applications and refunds
This is not an entry, it is an application. We will be selecting a group of runners based on the criteria above. If your application is unsuccessful, your money will be refunded (less a £6 admin fee). If your entry is accepted but you are unable to attend, your entry will not be refunded. You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application via email and be notified by email if you have been accepted or not by the 2 March (please ensure the email address you use is correct). Tickets will be sent via the post.

NB APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU ENTRY
